Musician agreement

1. Booking commitments

Accepting a booking is a commitment to show up and perform as described in the request — the date, time, location, and scope you agreed to. If something comes up, cancel through the Service as early as possible. Cancelling on short notice, or not showing up at all, hurts the church you're booked with and reflects on your profile, and may result in a payout hold, an adjustment to a current or future payout, or removal from the platform for repeated or serious cases.

2. Rates and payouts

The rates on your profile are what churches pay for your time — you receive 100% of your published rate. Worship Scout's booking fee is charged to the church on top of your rate, not deducted from it. Payouts are released 24 hours after your last scheduled event for a booking, or earlier if the church releases it early — subject to the payment holds described below.

3. Payment holds, complaints, and disputes

If a church raises a complaint or dispute about a booking — including a no-show, a performance that didn't match what was agreed, or any other concern — we may investigate. That can include contacting you and the church separately, reviewing messages or booking details, and asking either side for more information.

While a complaint is open, we may withhold, delay, or place a hold on any payout connected to that booking until it's resolved. Depending on what we find, we may release the payout in full, adjust or reduce it, or withhold it entirely. That decision is ours to make, at our sole discretion, and filing or responding to a complaint doesn't guarantee any particular outcome. This is in addition to, not instead of, the dispute-resolution terms in our Terms of Service.

4. Booking directly, outside Worship Scout

Worship Scout connects you with churches so both sides can find each other — that connection is the value we provide, and it's how we're able to run the platform, including the payout protections and dispute handling described above.

Once a church has booked you through Worship Scout, you agree not to independently arrange or accept a future booking with that same church outside the Service — whether direct, through another platform, or by any other means — without going through Worship Scout. This applies to any church you were first booked with through the platform, regardless of who initiates the direct arrangement.

If we determine that you've booked, or attempted to book, directly with a church you were first connected to through Worship Scout, we may withhold any amounts otherwise due to you — including for the booking that led to the introduction — and we may suspend or terminate your access to the platform, in addition to any other remedies available to us. If a church tells us they were asked to book with you directly outside the Service, we may treat that as a report of a violation under this section.

5. Conduct

Represent yourself accurately — your bio, skills, and experience should reflect what you can actually deliver. We can remove content, warn, suspend, or terminate an account that violates this agreement or otherwise misuses the platform, with or without notice.

6. Questions

If anything here is unclear, reach out from the contact page.
